Authentic Tennessee Spirits
Short Mountain Distillery is a craft, small-batch distillery and restaurant located in Cannon County, Tennessee on a 400 acre working farm. We craft Organic Tennessee Whiskey, Bourbon Whiskey and many other authentic and original spirits.
Short Mountain Distillery is located on the eastern side of Short Mountain in Cannon County, TN. The distillery is on a 400 acre farm with three healthy springs. The farm's location is rich in history that includes characters like Al Capone's moonshiner Cooper Melton. There is even a certified ghost story and the farm is considered haunted by many wraith hunters.
When the distillery opened in 2011, it's main products were moonshine; but now Bourbon, Rye Whiskey and Organic Tennessee Whiskey are on the bar. In 2019 the distillery was recognised as Tennessee's first Sustainable Distillery. Not only does the distillery have green farm practices, it also celebrates these beliefs in it's on-site farm to table restaurant.
The restaurant serves the farm's mash fed cows and pigs, local harvest vegetables, and seasonal garnishes and herbs all grown here in Cannon County, Tennessee. People dine while enjoying the expansive views. Often there is live music on weekends.
Tours of the distillery are scheduled online. Cocktail classes are a visitor favorite so be sure to request one if spots are available. The distillery has many special events over the year and around holidays. Don't miss meeting The Easter Bunny, July 4th on the farm or The Distillery Haunted HayRide on Halloween.
